︎︎︎ about
Reading distorted words is one of the things human brain can still do better than computers. This concept has resulted in two visual outcomes — a book and a website. The book uses the base of Captcha V1 to question type and legibility. It has two front covers and therefore no particular beginning or end to give an objective overview. As the idea of Captcha was initiated by scanning old archives, a new typeface was created inspired by the original process. The website itself is an online reading experience giving an overview of how legibility is perceived by human eyes and computer software. To compare the two, a grey objective area serves as a reference.
