Migration has always played a significant role in people’s lives. Where we are now is not necessarily where we will be tomorrow. Young people nowadays often move from one place to another, looking where they feel they can settle down, shaping the meaning of home.
This brief made me question the idea of home and the sense of belonging. To find answers, I decided to follow up my personal migration story. I investigated the notion of home and so I found that home is not just a physical space, it is also about the emotional connection we have to a space or the people part of it, which is what generates memories. I introduced a system based on the emotional connection in form of symbols. They visualize the perception of each place following up the five senses of the human body (sight, hearing, smell, taste and touch).
